Hundreds is one of those bands whose live performances are a combination of other things on top of the music such as distinct light shows that add to the music to create a three dimensional atmosphere that creates a little bit of an augmented reality. In the first song that they played when I had the pleasure of seeing them, the stage was lit in a green light with some projections of some patterns on the backdrop behind them. I was equally impressed that they are a brother/sister duo made up of Philipp and Eva, which they admit, was pretty difficult at a point but they sorted it out and pulled together for their agreeable sound that started to blossom in 2008. “Happy Virus” is the opening song from the group with its synthesizer heavy sound. The bass and the treble sounds interlock in some fantastic counter melodies, keeping everything fresh are they perform a slew of some of their best material. They finish on “Grab the Sunset” which opens as a piano ballad gradually building into a mid tempo synthesizer driven song. Their sound is distinct and well worth a watch for something a little different.
