Legendary Australian stoner rock/grunge band Budd return to Stone Vault Studios Fyansford Geelong to launch the new 12” vinyl reissue of their EP Ovit, out now via Cheersquad Records & Tapes.

Recorded in 1995 with renowned engineer "Magoo", the four songs on "Ovit" still sound fresh and visceral as the day it was recorded, a thunderous wall of guitars – all blistering distortion, effects, and a rhythm section that never lets up. 'Kairos’ electrically charged fuzz melts your speaker cones. 'Synchro' hits psychedelic overdrive with a waterfall of effects pedals, while 'Handle It' rides an alternating quiet/loud dynamic before 'Kneecap' hits the stop/start button, like prime-era Helmet, over breakneck drumming and a gloriously distorted bass sound.

Alongside Jeremy, the original recordings feature Jon Morris on drums and Ngakau Luke-Harris on bass.

To mark the special reissue, Ngakau will be coming down from Brisbane and playing bass especially for the Ovit EP tracks in a special separate Budd set of his 'era' songs, including selected tracks from the NAF & Yakfat EP's
A real treat for fans of the band; Ngakau is an absolute enigmatic legend - a really forceful player and memorable character!

Also on the bill are Geelong's high-octane, full-throttle, instrumental stoner rock boogie group SMOKE WITCH, who shared a split 7” single with Budd earlier in 2025.

This will be a BUDD show not to miss!!!
