Ben Sidran, a towering figure in modern jazz and popular music, brings six decades of experience as a pianist, singer-songwriter and producer back to the Ronnie Scott's stage. His most recent solo album (his 37th) was recorded live in France in 2024 and features a collection of original songs that channel the complex world of today through his “hipster” filter, demonstrating why he is indeed the “first ever existential jazz rapper”.
For this performance, Sidran is joined by some of London’s finest: Orlando LeFleming on bass, Leo Richardson on saxophone, and his son and longtime collaborator Leo Sidran on drums. Expect a masterful blend of jazz virtuosity, incisive lyricism, and infectious groove, delivered with the wit, insight, and energy that have defined one of the most extraordinary careers in contemporary jazz.
