Calming is not even a way to describe Ibrahim Maalouf, he is just so talented with each song invoking a different emotion within you, each note invoking a different thought within your mind and each second slowly going by as you loose yourself in the professionals instrumentation.
It is true what they say, actions do speak louder than words and Ibrahim Maalouf is the person that has shown me just how true this statement really is. I'm so used to listening to music with words and I think we all are that I think we often forget to listen close enough to hear what the instruments are doing, each and every sound is alone but when the sounds come together they bounce off each other and add to the tone. This is exactly like us, we are all instruments, the French musician has shown me this, even if he himself does not know this. With each blow of the trumpet, you enter a gentle trance and just have a chance to relax and think. This is so beautiful, have you ever felt at peace with yourself? where nothing else matters ? this is exactly how I felt when 'Beirut' was performed and it felt amazing!
