Tour name: NYC BUSKERBALL

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, BuskerBall returns to Tompkins Square Park from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, transforming the park into a living, breathing exhibition of street performance, public art, and spontaneous human connection. The free, all-day event is open to the public.
BuskerBall is rooted in the centuries-old tradition of busking—artists performing in shared public space without tickets, barriers, or curated platforms. Throughout the day, musicians, poets, and performers will appear across the park, inviting passersby to stop, listen, and engage on their own terms.
Rather than a conventional festival layout, BuskerBall is designed to be discovered. Visitors may encounter a featured performance, stumble upon a poet writing verses for strangers, or find themselves drawn into an unexpected moment of connection between people who have never met before.
This year’s programming includes:
• Featured performers scheduled throughout the afternoon
• Interactive exhibits exploring the history and meaning of busking
• Live, on-the-spot poetry inspired by public participation
• Pop-up performances unfolding organically across the park
BuskerBall 2026 also introduces an experimental installation that places an AI system alongside a human poet, allowing the public to engage with both. The pairing highlights the contrast between human expression and machine reflection—not as spectacle, but as a thoughtful, approachable exploration of creativity in an evolving technological landscape.

BuskerBall 2026 is free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to come and go throughout the day.
