Tyler Hilton biography

Tyler Hilton (born November 22, 1983) is an American pop singer who incorporates the influences of rock and country, and draws comparisons to the likes of Howie Day and Elton John, hailing from Palm Springs, California, U.S.

Born in Palm Springs, however raised in Bermuda Dunes, California, Hilton was immersed in music from an early age, later teaching himself Elvis Presley songs. Following a move to Coachella Valley with his family, the singer formed his first band alongside classmates, before performing at open mic nights as a solo artist. At the age of 16 Hilton gave an impromptu a capella cover of Jonny Lang’s “Breakin’ Me” on KLOS radio, which earned the singer a spot on the station’s Christmas concert. The success of which led the California-native to sign with Maverick Records upon his 18th birthday.

In April 2004 Hilton issued his debut, self-titled EP. The record’s four tracks later found themselves on the musician’s debut full-length “The Tracks of Tyler Hilton” released in September 2004. The singer has also been a regular contributor to the soundtrack of the TV drama “One Tree Hill”, which is also where he made his acting debut as the character Chris Keller.

Following a 23-city tour alongside Bethany Joy Lenz, The Wreckers, and Gavin DeGraw, Hilton issued his second EP “Better on Beachwood” in May 2009. A third EP, “Ladies & Gentlemen” followed in early 2010, as Hilton began writing and arranging his second studio album. Released in April 2012 and led by the single “Loaded Gun”, “Forget the Storm” rose to No. 2 on the U.S. Heatseekers Chart. The same year Hilton released to live album “Live in Atlanta”, featuring a selection of his most popular tracks and embarked on a worldwide tour. The full-length “Indian Summer” arrived in 2014 and was supported by an extensive national tour.

Kate Voegele biography

With her music career starting at the young age of 16, Kate Voegele has grown up in music and her successes have only increased over time.

Born in raised in Bay Village, Ohio, Kate went on to graduate high school in 2005 but by this point her music career was already well on its way. In 2003 she released the EP ‘The Other Side’ which acted as Kate’s gateway into music. Kate began receiving local radio play and gigging and before long she was playing shows with the likes of Counting Crows and John Mayer. Song appearances in TV shows and a second EP entitled ‘Louder Than Words’ continued to build Kate’s profile until in 2006 she received a message on booming social media network Myspace.

The message was from none other than ‘Tom’, Myspace’s infamous founder who wanted to sign her to his new label, Myspace Records. She agreed and together they released her debut album ‘Don’t Look Away’ together in 2007. It began selling steadily however it received a huge boom when Kate entered the next step of her career.

In 2008 she made her first appearance on popular US TV show, One Tree Hill, which became a huge factor in Kate’s next step up in popularity. On the day she appeared on the show her debut album was re-released and went on to sell over 250,000 copies. Appearing in the show through till its 8th season, Kate’s success continued with the release of albums ‘A Fine Mess’ and ‘Gravity Happens’.

Tyler Hilton is an American indie rock and folk singer. He's very talented and going to see his show was a really good idea, as it turned out. He was so nice and polite to the fans as well, speaking to the audience between songs. It was really great of him to do that.

He was dressed really well with a button down pinstriped shirt, a navy blue jacket and matching pants. His hair was nicely coifed too. The stage looked nice and was set up well. The venue was a great outdoor venue and the weather was just beautiful for it.

There were so many people who showed up and they all looked quite happy to be there. The atmosphere was so nice and joyful. I felt good to be there.

Tyler Hilton performed some great music, including "Not Getting Your Name" , "I Believe We Can Do It", "It's Always the Same", "New York Can Wait" , and "Meant Something to Me". "I Believe We Can Do It" ended up being my favorite song of the entire concert. I really love it and want to download it soon. It was a wonderful show and I had a great time. The performance and atmosphere was unbeatable.

I stumbled upon Kate Voegele because I, like probably most of her fans, was an avid One Tree Hill fan. Unlike her timid character Mia Catalano, Kate Voegele is extremely personable, and energetic. For a girl with a small stature, she sure does have a big voice.
I saw her when she was the supporting act for John Mayer’s tour. The stage setup was really simple considering the massiveness of the venue. Smack dab in the center was a beautiful piano, and there were also amps and a drum kit. I don’t think a lot of people in the crowd were as familiar as I was with her, because while they did applaud for her, it wasn’t super enthusiastic. However, once she started to perform and finished out her opening song, the crowd’s energy really started to pick up. My favorite song of the set was “Kindly Unspoken” because it was the song that I had fallen in love with the first time I saw her on OTH. I also hadn’t realized that she was multi-talented in her instrumentation. For a few songs she picked up the guitar instead of playing the piano. It’s extremely refreshing to see such a strong female vocalist that isn’t part of the redundant cycle of radio music.
