Live review by Thomas Bleach for Sofia Isella's first gig 25th March 2021 at Black Bear Lodge Brisbane Australia supporting Sycco & Straight Girls.

"Introducing herself to the world through a string of singles on streaming platforms, 16 year old Sofia Isella is ready to step off the streets busking and get on a stage and bring these songs to life. Opening the night with a brief set, the American born but now Gold Coast based singer-songwriter impressed with her quirky and well produced tracks, pure talent, and her undeniable stage presence. Interpolating live violin into her performance, she immediately grabbed our attention and had us questioning just where the set was going to go. Closing track ‘What Dress Will I Wear’ is a hit waiting to be found. With a dark and brooding sound reminiscent of Billie Eilish, the lyric “What dress will I wear when I get buried” will linger in your brain, and have you needing to press replay on it. "
