Elke Louie launches her debut EP at her very first show in Melbourne, on July 1st at The Drunken Poet on the Wine Women & Whisky Wednesday night show.
Known for her warm indie-folk sound and heartfelt live performances, Elke will be bringing the new EP to the stage for a celebration with friends and music lovers.
This engaging 5-track EP includes the dreamy new single and title track ‘Lavender,’ along with earlier releases ‘Sandman’ and ‘Killing Time,’ both of which have garnered international acclaim. The tracks have been receiving airplay on radio stations around Australia and overseas, with new single “Lavender” having it’s ‘First Play’ on national youth radio Triple J, and the video premiering on Frooty.
Elke was recently nominated in two categories at the 2026 Sunshine
Coast Music Awards – as a finalist for Young Artist Of The Year, and Artwork Of The Year for the self-directed video for debut single “Killing Time”.
“This EP is a time capsule of growing up in a small town. Written across my teenage years in Gympie, Queensland, these songs hold memories of places, people, first love, comfort, confusion, and change. Each track captures moments of youth shaped by both pleasure and pain, preserving the emotions and experiences that defined who I was becoming. These songs are about holding onto those fleeting years while learning how to move beyond them”, Louie said.
“Elke Louie is one of the most promising and exciting artists making music today.”
