The City of Surrey is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Salish Peoples, including the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen), and sǝmyámǝ (Semiahmoo) land-based nations.
Surrey Canada Day presented by Prospera Credit Union is Western Canada’s largest free Canada Day celebration, bringing our diverse communities together in a powerful expression of national pride and cultural unity. The event showcases music, education, and entertainment, while honouring the traditions and contributions of both Indigenous and multicultural artists.
As a celebration of Canadian identity, Surrey Canada Day is committed to amplifying Indigenous voices and fostering cultural respect. Event organizers work closely with an Indigenous consultant to ensure thoughtful, inclusive planning and programming.
