Julia Fordham

Julia Fordham is a singer songwriter from England who has been on the scene since 1988 when she signed to Virgin Records and scored an international hit with “Happy Ever After”. It was all about her critically acclaimed album, “Porcelain”. She has maintained the status of her career over the last couple of decades securing her place in the limelight. She even released a jazz standards album. Not a bad CV for Fordham at all.

It’s all about when she performs live though. She has such a distinctive voice, as she sings through some of her biggest hits to date; songs such as her breakthrough, “Happy Ever After” and “Where Does the Time Go?” Her writing is made up of beautiful melodies and counter melodies that hold your attention so well. A personal favourite of mine is a song called “Island”, a song that tells a story from start to finish that makes the audience hang on her every word. She concludes her set with “Girlfriend”, throughout the set just keeping this chilled vibe going.

Woman to woman, the tour, Julia Fordham, Beverly Craven and Judy Tzuke, AMAZING!!! They complimented each other perfectly, very natural stripped back concert with some heartfelt stories and some quick witty banter especially from Beverly, shes got great comedy timing. Superb concert and beautiful voices. I was left wanting to here her sing all over again. Beverly and Judie were great musicians and singers..very All in all it was very good.
