The Moondoggies, indie rockers from Everett, Washington, have quickly become our favorite band.
Their blend of melodic folk rock draws comparisons to Neil Young & Crazy Horse and the Grateful Dead, and the descriptions are apt; these guys know how to harmonize... and jam!
Their live shows are perfectly crafted and full of energy, and we should know: we've seen them six times (and counting). The highlight and usual show stopper is "Night & Day," which they will sometimes draw out to 15 minutes or more.
Typical venues are smaller, intimate clubs; in Portland we have caught them at the Doug Fir Lounge, Mississippi Studios, and the White Eagle Saloon. These guys are personable, and fun to chat with afterwards.
Expect a solid set of rock 'n roll any time they play!
What an amazing show the Moondoggies out in last night! At $5 per ticket how can you lose. Having said that I would’ve easily paid $50 for the same show. One song was very EMO for me and brought on some tears and hats off the Chop Suey. Another great show guys!
