Calibro 35

Combining my three favourite things, Italy, jazz and funk, Calibro 35 make for an exciting evening of loud beats, surprisingly soulful jazz and an overall ear pleasing experience. The saxophone is my absolute favourite instrument and Calibro truly does it justice. They’re a delight to listen to live and blew away the audience with their talent. One of the best live acts I’ve seen.

The Italian funk, jazz, alternative rock band are a delight to witness. They’re fun and talented, with upbeat melodies and a distinctive funk style. Calibro 35 make for an exciting evening with friends ready for an explosion of sounds and beats.

Their sound was inspired by soundtracks of 1970s Italian crime movies, which is truly displayed throughout their set. The band is made up of handsome foursome, front man Enrico Gabrielli on the keyboards, flute and saxophone, and xylophone, Luca Cavina on bass, Massimo Martellotta on guitar and Fabio Rondanini on drums.

Wow. This is the second time that I listen this amazing italian combo. For sure my expectations were good and they will show me. Opening was so psychic and psychedelic as soon we ll wait like the new album Space. The title track was so perfect without mistakes and the sound was so energic and powerful. They have a "basic set of instruments" but they play in a rude, raw way I mean so serious so professionals. In the first part of the gig they play almost the new album that catch us in anothe world, another "space". The latest tracks are very commons for the fans. Eurocrime, Bouchet Funk, and for sure the killer song "Giulia Mon amour".
At least a great combo. Great gig and after all a great groovy sound!!! Go further Calibro 35!!!

Visti dal vivo durante il tour di Space, molto più di quello che mi aspettavo, molto di più di quello che si può trovare nei live. Niente è lasciato al caso e la loro tecnica sopraffina si fonde perfettamente con il ritmo incessante del loro fottuti specialfunkjazz.

Tremendous gig, these guies really love that they do, and they do it so well. They drive their set between several genres, and bring audience within an brilliant musical trip. Special mention to the drummer, really impressive !
