He goes by many names.
The "Lemmy" of Black Metal. The Norwegian James Bond. The Son of Northern Darkness.
Or simply, ABBATH.
He's legend in the underground, and for good reason too. More than just the former front man for Norway's coldest metal band, Immortal, and one of the world's hardest-hitting Motorhead cover bands, Bombers, Abbath is running his own show these days. He carry's a mighty torch for the flame of all things hard rock and heavy metal, spitting fire in the eyes of non-believers and bringing laughter to the darkest depths of the underworld. He is a true icon for the world of music, and an inspiration in many ways. And he puts on one hell of a show!
Every time I've seen Abbath, they put on a great show. I enjoyed this one immensely as their new album is amazing. They played a little old and a little new. I also saw Obituary. I thought they should've opened for Abbath though. Midnight was really good. Devil Master was meh. They can go ahead and get rid of the keyboardist and lead guitarist and I think they would sound better. Great show overall.
What a concert. Small venue, lot's of smoke and great lighting added to an awesome performance by Abbath and King and their support musicians, Tons of atmosphere and the crowd were responsive to the brutal yet clear wall of sound.
If the chance comes, don't miss this band. One of the best metal shows I've experienced in many years.
Abbath is on top of his game. Awesome show. Get there early and catch Nuclear, absolutely sick thrash metal. Some of the best thrash I’ve heard in a while. Abbath played about 90 straight minutes with no breaks, was a crushing set. The whole band sounded tight. Absolutely worth buying the ticket and going you won’t regret it.
What can I say I had a hell of a good time! Abbath was out of this world! The opening act Midnight was badass also. The venue Lincoln Center was perfect for any show. I highly recommend the meet and greet. Can’t wait to see another Abbath show!!
The concert was amazing. The actual performance was flawless and the people who attended really showed how respectful and relaxed they were. No unpleasant incident happened, everything went very well. Great times.
Was a pretty good show, also glad it happened, as it was in doubt as Abbath had to go into rehab. But even sober, he still is larger than life & the rest of the the band do a pretty good job too. Recommended.
One of the best gigs. All the bands were amazing. 1349 was better than ever, heavy and fast. Abbath reminded me of his early days. Full of energy, clean and back on full force. Excellent gig
Awesome. Abbath puts on an awesome show. He is very entertaining to watch. Not only does he play music from his debut album but he also plays songs from Immortal and I.
