Mexican Institude of Sound is the header for this electronic music project that of course started in Mexico. It’s quite a patriotic movement dubbing a genre as [insert country here] electronica, and could maybe be perceived as a little inaccurate to someone with a music degree, who has written ten thousand words on musicology, but I guess when babies started being named after countries, producers thought “Hey I’m gonna name this music that I’m creating after my country” Lets get back to what we’re actually talking about here; Camilo Lara’s Electronic Dance Music manufactured in Mexico of course. He performs tonight to a huge many thousand capacity room, in a huge club in Mexico to some adoring fans and to some people who are just there for the craic, however, the reaction is all the same. Same hands in the air, fist pumping along, same “Ohh’s” and “Ahh’s” being sang. Same euphoria experienced when the beat drops.
