There are bands that preserve their legacy. And then there are Mothers Cake. For the Austrian trio, standing still has never been an option. Every album marks a new step forward—a deliberate evolution. After the success of Ultra Bliss, it would have been easy to continue down the same path. But that has never been part of the band's DNA.
Since their debut album Creation's Finest, produced together with Ikey Owens (The Mars Volta, Jack White), Mothers Cake have built an international reputation. They have shared the stage with Deftones, Iggy Pop, Limp Bizkit, Alice in Chains, and Deep Purple, played sold-out shows across Australia, Mexico, South Africa, and India, and reached a global audience through millions of streams as well as placements in films, television, and video games.
With their sixth studio album, WE R ALL GONNA DIE (out October 9, 2026 via Esis3 Records), Mothers Cake open a bold new chapter. The sound is more direct, raw, and uncompromising than ever before—driven by punk energy and stripped of everything unnecessary.
The first single, "We Are All Gonna Die" (out May 7, 2026), serves as the defining statement of this new era. It embodies the courage to leave expectations behind and redefine the band's sound. WE R ALL GONNA DIE is not just another Mothers Cake album—it is the uncompromising sound of a band willing to tear everything down in order to reinvent itself.
holy cow, what a band!!! it´s been a long long time, since I have seen such great live band! Everybody of them is a master on their instruments, and the energy is unbelievable. They are a trio and sound like a wall! If they play near you, check´em out!
