Wayne Gillespie

After sold-out shows in Auckland 2025 Wayne returns to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of the release of his "New Locations" album and new recordings set list including; Invercargill, Number 37, Wrong Way, Ten Francs, Losing One, Camille Claudel, Bananas#2, Methadone from his albums 'Wayward Son' and 'New Locations' , Living In Exile (1993), Live At The Bunker (2005) and FRAZZ (2022) plus tunes from his latest recording project such as 'Geriatric Blues' due for release in 2027. It is likely he will be joined by some long standing musical compadres yet to be announced

Bio:
Gillespie cut his teeth playing London Folk Clubs and Busking in Paris Metros in the 80's before returning home and making the finals of the NZ Music awards in 1984 and 1988 before moving to Sydney. He has released material in every decade since the 80's, to the 20's. Gillespie has shared the stage with artists such as Suzanne Vega, Chris Whitley, Dave Dobbyn, Neil Finn, Stan Ridgway, Eleanor McEvoy, Margaret Urlich, The Narcs, Colin Hay, Neil Murray and Shona Laing.
