Críticas en vivo
Rebecca is, in her own words, a self-sustaining musician, who records and releases her own material while bouncing around the USA in beat up old cars playing nearly 200 gigs a year.
She has that wonderful knack of taking everyday encounters and distilling them into songs of enchantment, humour or passion. Certainly you need to beware if you get invited to dinner at Mama and Papa Loebe's house!!
I caught her on her debut UK tour and she has promised to return in September '16 - you should get along if you can.
Favourite tracks: Chicago Kid, Swallowed By The Sea, Marguerita
I went to the show to see Rebecca. She was awesome, as always. Her personality, her voice, her guitar and her presence are amazingly pleasing. Her two partners in Nobody’s Girl, Grace and BettySoo, brought the same kind of vibe and the three together delivered an excellent show. They blended the two sets with their own individual original songs with the new songs they created together. Marguerita, Lie, and Swallowed By The Sea by Rebecca were all a treat. Landon by Grace was a beautiful song, especially with the back story Grace told about it. It was a really good performance.
To experience an artist like Rebecca Loebe in the intimate setting of a private livingroom is something special. It was a fantastic concert, in which she directly connected with the audiance, told her entertaining stories and played her wonderful songs, old ones as well as a lot from her recent album "Blink". She even played two completely new songs, she just had written a day ir two before. All in all an evening of music and companionship I will remember for quite some time.
Rebecca Loebe was on the top of her game last night at Uncommon Ground. The room was intimate and comfortable and she told stories and sang songs that brought laughs and lots of applause. Rebecca is a wonderful performer and songwriter, and the consummate storyteller. She is a treasure. I think everyone in the room, and probably everyone who ever meets her, feels like she is their best friend. I know I do.
