Críticas en vivo
In my time I’ve heard a lot of rock bands talk about how tiring it is to be on stage. About how they don’t want to bore their fans by playing too long and how some bands have to have an encore simply so they can have a breather while playing live. Most DJ’s must look at them and think they don’t even know they’re born. An hour and a half long set is absolutely par for the course for someone just starting out and once you get a following behind you, it gets longer. Take the Polish born, Detroit raised Magdalena Chojnacka, AKA Magda. A set of hers at London’s Fabric club spanned over two sets, the first lasting two hours, the second an hour and fifty minutes. However, this isn’t just an endurance feat. Unpacking that for a second, it’s an absolute testament to Magda’s mastery of minimal techno that she’s able to not just hold a crowds attention for just shy of four hours, but she’s able to keep a crowd of people dancing for that long. It takes a true master craftsmen to be able to pull something like that off and a true artist to be able to create music that people can listen to for that long. For sheer skill alone, Magda would be something special indeed, but with everything else, she’s unmissable.
