I've seen David Foster on PBS and was acquainted with is music. His concert was a huge surprise! He connected with the audience and kept us wanting more. The diversity of the show included two volunteers from the audience who auditioned for 30 seconds (there were rules). One of the two was a little boy who was 8 who stole the show. The singers who sang for David were incredible. The Facetime appearance by Josh Grobin was awesome. David is so talented. He shared with us his career highlights. An incredibly, memorable time spent watching him perform. What an artist.
Making her debut on the American Idol Stage, Katharine McPhee is a superstar! She is a small venue performer which suits her style perfectly. She is a performer who talks between sets and you get the sense she really connects with her fans, genuinely! That is a rarity in the music industry.
Her rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" is sure to bring everyone watching to tears and bring them back to their childhood. It is awe inspiring to watch her perform this song. She has a range that is unparalleled by many artists of her genre. She is a stage performer and you get the bonus of not only her concert but an "act". You will find her frolicking across the stage and explaining the true reasons for her songs, each one. She keeps a tidy background of musicians to accompany her, nothing flashy as she steals the show with her personality and voice. If you are looking for an all around broadway musical performance, Katherine is not one to miss ! She performs as a highly skilled professional adding in a sultry feel with her big personality. Taking on "That's Life" you will find her dancing along enjoying it with the audience who is captured by her show. A true professional performer with a voice bar none.
