This show was fantastic, hosted by MusicGarage-Live!, an intimate venue with very good sound. Timmy The Teeth and Sammy Brue opened the show with stirring and fun solo acoustic sets. Both were entertaining and inspiring - especially 14 year-old Sammy Brue. American Aquarium's show consisted of more mellow, lush landscapes of guitars and pedal steel setting the scene for a night of very good, although slower, more somber songs that only rarely, if ever got over 70 bpm. Overall, a really great show!
Two hours of crazy nutty Japanese fun. That is how I would describe this Exile show. I do not understand a single word of Japanese but you know what they say… When in Tokyo… Go see Exile, so that’s what I did.
Their outfits obviously were the highlight of the show, gotta love those crazy pants. But really the crowd as a whole was so captivated and into them it really made for a crazy fun experience. Glow sticks, lighters, everything, it was almost as if it was a mellow rave at points. I liked how the stage was almost like a huge jungle gym..
So many paths and things to climb on that it really made for fun entertainment just watching them all run around. It always amazes me how a group like this can captivate an entire audience like this and they pulled it off.
If you’re looking for a fun Japanese band of dudes, this is your group. If you’re looking for just a fun wild night, these are also your guys. If you just want to shake your hips, sing along and have some fun, these are also your guys.
Music is all about performance, and these guys perform well, and the crowd and myself really enjoyed it. You would too, go check them out!
Crystal Gayle is, without doubt, a country music legend. Musical from a young age and with early mentoring and inspiration from older sister Loretta Lynn (famous for hits such as “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man”), it was only a matter of time before Crystal found her own success. And find it she did! With twenty number one hits under her belt and a host of worldwide tours to go along with them, Crystal has had her fair share of practice in learning how to put on a great show and give fans what they love.
A Crystal Gayle show is not complete without her signature song “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” Even today the ballad sounds as fresh and poignant as it did when it was first released. Just the opening bars of the song creates a ripple of excitement among the crowd at one of Crystal’s gigs, and within seconds everyone is singing along to the lyrics.
Many of Crystal’s hits from the seventies feature in her concerts, and you can tell that many of the people at her shows have been fans from the very start. Listen out for “Talking In Your Sleep”, “Why Have You Left The One You Left Me For?” and “Take It Easy.” All stand out and shimmer when she performs them live. If you get the chance, definitely go see this living legend in action!
