Friday 11th July sees the band play the Blacksheep Festival in Bad Rappenau – Bonfeld in southern Germany; reuniting with old friends Fairport Convention with whom they last played at Fairport’s own gig in Cropredy.The festival seems happy to have the band.. to quote their website: …. Oysterband, Fairport Convention und, grandios, dass wir die bekommen haben: die Horslips! “We think that last bit’s a preposition, not a command”, laughs Horslips keyboard player and flautist Jim Lockhart… “we’re delighted the Germans are happy to have us back. We seemed to get arrested a lot there during the seventies.. obviously all is forgiven”.
