I’ve heard people say that they think that Tilt’s best days are behind them, and although they’ve been through various stages of success since the early 90s, the show that they recently put on was just incredible, and they should definitely keep touring. Although their line up has changed considerably since their early days, their sound was still as tight and clean as it was 20 years ago, and hearing incredible rocking out on guitars accompanied by Cinder Block’s solid vocals was incredible.
The band’s support act hyped everyone up nicely, even choosing to play a Tilt cover in their set which I thought was pretty cool, and Tilt even got them out on stage in their set to jam on a song with them which was awesome. When they came onstage, they didn’t introduce themselves right away, but launched into Viewers Like You, and then around half way through the song, Pete, Vince, and Jeffrey took the opportunity to play instrumental solos whilst Cinder introduced the set and the band.
The atmosphere was great and they had everyone joining in singing and dancing, and they were encouraging everyone by putting their hands in the air, or holding out the microphone. They’re still incredibly talented, and you’d definitely be missing out if you don’t catch them live whilst you still can.
