Although a little obnoxious and naieve, it’s undeniable that Must Die! is an incredibly talented electronic dance music producer and songwriter. Seeing him perform live, I was pleasantly surprised that he was relatively humble and thankful towards his audience, and put on a great show. His combination of dubstep, electro house, and his live drum playing kept the sound of the show fresh and varied, and it was great to see a genuine musician playing mixes on kaoss pads, and drum machines whilst DJ-ins simultaneously.
The atmosphere was great, and everyone was really into the show. He opened by shouting ‘tonight I want to see everybody go as hard as you possibly can’ to which everyone cheered and began dancing as he launched into his first track, Horse Shoes. It’s evident that Must Die! has had a lot of experience performing and engaging a crowd, as he was great at dancing and interacting with the crowd whilst he was mixing his tracks.
He played a really good variety of original tracks, and remixes, as well a using plenty of samples to get everyone singing and engaged with the show.
