The San Francisco based DJ, Max Vangeli, puts on concerts that provide a strong sense of a party like atmosphere. He has played events ranging from massive festivals to cruises in the Bahamas. His performances are energetic and fun, and his music is catchy and upbeat. Vangeli is incredibly inspired by house music, which is conveyed by the use of repetitive rhythms and synthesized bass lines throughout his music. His music is highly danceable and contains many crescendos that build up to the highest peaks to be dropped into a low bass line. Vangeli knows how to read an audience. He backs off on the intensity if he sees that the audience is tiring from dancing and he cranks up the volume if he reads signs that the audience wants to dance wilder. Vangeli uses a mixing board and turn tables when performing live to chop up his beats and put them into a collage of danceable music. Tribal drum beats are found throughout Vangeli’s music that help drive the force behind his music. Vangeli is also known for his remixes and has received commercial success for his fabulous take on Elle Goulding’s song, “Starry Eyed”.
Vangeli has been increasingly growing his fan base ever since his hit single “Swedish Beauty” swept critics and fans off their feet. The year 2014 showed him releasing Grim, which went on to reach the Top 25 of the iTunes dance chart. Vangeli’s performances feel like one large spring break shindig, and his uplifting dance beats are bound to leave a positive impression on his audience.
