"Try something new it won't kill you" are the words I frequently hear, the one time I listen to that advice, I find myself a band I will follow to the edge of the Earth!
Being told that all I listen to is hip hop is what I perceive as a compliment but according to some it's not right to be stuck in one type of genre, especially when it comes to music. Listening to my friend I decided to give this band a try and boy am I glad I did!
At first I wasn't too keen, as normally when I am told to listen to a new artist I just hear dozens of other artists I have heard before and it sounds like a cheap imitation from their greatest fan. When listening to Casey Donahew Band for the first time, I was astonished to how good they actually were and were amazed at how talented this band actually was!
The song which caught my interest at first was 'crazy' the band have such a calming sound and relaxing feel to their music.
Then came the opportunity to see them live and I took it! live they are even better and their fans even more dedicated! When they played 'Shine on me' the audience sang every single word with the band, it was as if they were all auditioning simultaneously!
I had an amazing time, while on stage the band were not afraid to interact with the audience and tell short stories, I thought this to be amazing and offered people their money's worth.
If they are near, have no fear and go listen to the sweet sounds of their perfected delivery of Country music!
