Coming off the back of a career as part of Grammy nominated duo ‘Deep Dish’, Sharam is no stranger to success. Real name Sharam Taybei, this Iranian-American prog house DJ has since decided to go solo but the accolades are continuing to roll in – at #73 in DJMAG’s top 100 Djs poll you going to be expecting something special from his live sets.
All framed by the pumping four to the floor foundations, Sharam keeps it subtle as he weaves from song to song showcasing a dazzling set of synths and pads that really build a mystical feel to his sound. There’s no ostentatious synth assault or drum battery for the crowd to brave through, just a delicately textured soundscape overlaying the infectious groove of the drums and percussion. His music is perfect for sticky summer nights of dancing and the crowd get lost in the moment as Sharam dazzles them with a blend of remixes and even some of his own hits featuring the likes of Diddy and Kid Cudi. Many probably thought that Sharam couldn’t recreate the success of Deep Dish having gone solo but one night and one set from him will be enough to change anyone’s mind.
