Queen Elizabeth Hall is a 915 seated capacity concert hall located in Southbank Centre. The venue is easily reached from Waterloo and Embankment Underground stations. The building itself is Grade I listed and opened in1951, with the founding stone being laid in 1949 by (then Prime Minister) Clement Atlee. Since then the building has undergone various alterations and has had new features added. There are daytime events running at Southbank as well as places to purchase food and drink.
